Aries Energy Across Cultures: A Warrior's Spirit
African Astrology
In African astrology, Aries energy is symbolized by the kolanut.
The kolanut represents hospitality, generosity, and friendship and those born under the Kolanut sign are warm, welcoming, and sociable.
In many African cultures, the kolanut is presented alongside a glass of water to welcome guests into one's home and abode.
During ancestral worship and veneration, the kolanut is broken into parts and offered with clear spirits to invoke one's ancestors favorably.
However, it can only be handled by the oldest person in the gathering, who in turn breaks it into parts and shares it with others.
Those born under the sign of the Kolanut have a strong sense of community and often go out of their way to make others feel comfortable and included.

Yoruba Mythology
In Yoruba mythology, Aries energy is symbolized by Ògún the god of Iron and the god of War.
''Ògún ókó Óya'', can be heard sung out loud when the god of war is being invoked to give one courage when confronting obstacles or before embarking on a journey. This is in the Yoruba language, and it means Ògún, the husband of Óya.
Ògún is the god of war, metalwork, iron smithing, blacksmiths, warfare and ammunitions.
And as such, Ògún is the patron saint of those who make use of metals in their everyday work, such as warriors, hunters, blacksmiths, welders, gunsmiths, engineers, mechanics, and surgeons.
In traditional Yoruba culture, Ògún is the deity of ironsmiths and blacksmiths who played vital roles for kings and rulers and were essential in ancient kingdoms.
Through the study of metals and naturally occurring metallic elements, blacksmiths and ironsmiths were able to create weapons for use in defense and offensive situations, directly contributing to the peace and security of their kingdom.
People born into such families honored Ògún as their instituted deity and could be identified with the Ògún- prefix in their surname. E.g. Ògúnbòna, Ògúndina, Ògúnlèyé, Ògúntósìn, Ògúnșola.
In Nigeria, Ògún festival is held annually between the Libra New Moon and Aries Full Moon. At this time, Ògún worshippers clad themselves in red and offer up dogs as sacrifice to consecrate their work and tools of trade.

Egyptian Astrology
In Egyptian astrology, Aries energy is symbolized by Osiris, the god of death, the underworld, and resurrection.
From the moment of his birth, Osiris was declared as the Lord of creation. However, from his conception to eventual demise and resurrection as the king of the underworld, his story was filled with passion, adventure and overcoming obstacles.
Firstly, his conception was the result of an illicit passionate relationship between Rhea/Nut, wife of Ra, and Kronos/Seb. Due to this tryst, Ra cursed Rhea/Nut, preventing her from going into labor and birthing Osiris. This curse was only broken when Hermes was able to add 5 days to the existing 360-day year.
In due course, Osiris became the king of Egypt and devoted himself to civilizing his subjects. He taught them livestock farming and agriculture, and established the worship of gods by men.
He married Isis, his sister, who acted as a caretaker overseeing Egypt, while Osiris traveled to other nations of the world to share his agricultural knowledge.

But while away, Set—his brother—plotted his downfall and wanted to rule over Egypt instead. He colluded with Aso, the queen of Ethiopia and they came up with a plan to kill Osiris.
When Osiris returned to Egypt, Set lured him into lying in a chest, which was immediately sealed and put to sea. Osiris suffocated to death while the chest floated down the Nile and got entangled with a tamarisk tree.
Despite being dead, his body travelled to another country—Byblos, in present day Lebanon, as the trunk of the Tamarisk tree which the King had put up in his children's nursery.
All the while, Isis searched for Osiris body for she had tricked Ra into giving her the power to make Osiris half-alive so he could father her child. Eventually, Isis rescued Osiris's corpse from the palace of the King of Byblos while pretending to be a nanny.
Finally, Osiris was resurrected and became the king of the underworld and is often venerated as ''Osiris the king of eternity, the lord of everlastingness, who traversed millions of years in the duration of his life, the firstborn son of the womb of Nut, begotten of Seb, the prince of gods and men, the god of gods, the king of kings, the lord of lords, the prince of princes, the governor of the world, from the womb of Nut, whose existence is for everlasting.''

Aries-Inspired Wellness Practices
Aries rules the head and organs that dwell in the face, including the hair, skull, brain, eyes, ears, nose, teeth, tongue, and the muscles of the face.
Just as Aries energy represents the individual, the face acts as a unique biometric identifier linked to one's identity.
Likewise, there exists an intrinsic relationship between one's hair and one's free-will vis-a-vis confidence and independence. This is the reason why women change their hairstyle/length to mark a departure from a relationship, and why hair-covering is also weaponized for submission in certain societies and religious bodies.
Covering of the face is a symbolical denigration of identity. This is evident in the use of masks for disguise or even wearing face-masks.
One characteristic of man is to be able to identify another member of his specie by their face. A body without a face loses its inherent identity.
While Venus is in Aries, take extra care of the head and face. Venus's energy will intensify the focus on these organs and may make one feel more self-conscious.
Instead of relying on cosmetic products and procedures, consider adopting a natural care routine.
Learn how to do a lymphatic massage on your face to promote lymphatic drainage, tone up the facial muscles, and reduce wrinkles.
Invest in a skincare regimen made up of natural, sustainable products before reaching for cosmetics or cosmetic procedures.
While Venus transits through Aries, consider booking a relaxing facial spa session and scalp/hair treatments.
Brushing your teeth at least twice a day with a fluoride-free toothpaste will help improve your dental and brain health.
Switch up your hair style, length or color to renew your energetic sense of self.
Seek corrective care for any dental malformations.
